What exactly is Alpha?
The Alpha course is designed primarily for people who aren't churchgoers and each course is open to anyone who would like to attend.
As a course, Alpha attracts a diverse range of guests of different ages and backgrounds, holding many different viewpoints.
Over 7,000 churches are currently running the Alpha course across the UK in rural and urban settings, including every major UK city.
Alpha is an informal introduction to the Christian faith run in a friendly, non-threatening, environment over a ten week period.
All meetings begin with a meal followed by a video & discussion. It is completely free with no hidden charges.
The course is open to everyone interested in discovering what Christianity is about. Come, relax, eat, share your thoughts and explore the meaning of life.

Alpha is for:
Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith. All ages welcome.
Learning and laughter. It is possible to learn about the Christian faith and have fun at the same time.
People meeting together over a meal. An opportunity to get to know each other and to make new friends.
Helping one another. The small groups give you a chance to discuss any issues raised.
Ask anything. At ‘Alpha’- no question is regarded as too simple or too hostile.
