The Big Question
We are surrounded by questions that are so important yet often we feel we haven't got anyone that we can ask:
"What is the meaning of life?"
"Is there a God?"
"Is there life after death?"
We all struggle with answers and that is summed up by the comic science fiction novel by Douglas Adams 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'.
The supercomputer declares that the ultimate answer to the question of Life, the Universe, and Everything is simply 42.
I'm not sure any of us find that answer particularly satisfying.
Perhaps, the most fundamental question we can ask ourselves is, “Why are we here?”
Many people have discussed that across the centuries and it’s a question that, as Christians, we feel we can help you answer.
Jesus never discouraged questions and he always provided answers that helped people to a better understanding.

The Big Answer
We believe that God has a plan for each one of us. No life is meaningless but each individual needs to recognise and follow Jesus for the plan to be understood.
In the Bible, there is this saying from the teaching of Jesus. ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ (Matthew 23:37-39)
Simply put, we live to love God and everyone else who are our fellow passengers living on this planet we call earth.
So, why does our church exist?
We exist to worship God and to enable those who don’t have that relationship to find Him also. We’re not around just for ourselves, we are here to help those outside the church to realise what they’re missing out on. We want people to experience for themselves the transforming love of God who is able to answer all our questions.
